November Marks the Three Year Anniversary of opening the Center doors and this year we celebrated with a Geez Fest. Walter Reed Army Institute of Research Native American Heritage Month - Silver Spring, MD

The Center was honored to be invited to celebrate Native American Heritage Month with the WRAIR. We brought the Travelling Displays, and the Tunsweca Wakan H'oka. We were happy to be joined by our friend, Pete Giove and his wife, who sang and danced along with the drum.

Holy Man Documentary Screening - Charles Town, WV

To start out November the Center shared Holy Man: USA vs. Douglas White, a brand new documentary that tells one man's story of the discrimination Native Americans still face today and how the Popular Culture can destroy people, families, and even whole societies. Everyone enjoyed the fresh hot frybread and wojapi and hearing Douglas' story.
